The numbers of DHURANDHAR went up on Tuesday and this was without the discounted ticket rates. This is very rare and the Tuesday is much higher than the first day if we take the real collections of the film into account. There is no doubt now the film can go anywhere from here due to a crazy trend from day one till day five in terms of real collections.

The picture is getting clearer now with this film as it looks a huge block buys on the first day and minimal after that with the film actually working on merit. But those huge buys means you could not see it in the collections. There is no doubt the buys were there which gives a wrong picture. Obviously now it looks the fear was for the opening day which probably lead to panic and things done in a hurry which were so blatant that even a little kid could see.

The film is now on a run and pretty much unstoppable though the wait is for week two because if there is no drastic drop, then only you can be sure sure its actual collections at these high levels and not just numbers. Simply put, the industry has to get of this feeding business out as it puts a stigma on that film no matter how little you may add the industry will think its much much more. The fact remains that post pandemic within the industry only GADAR 2 and ANIMAL, out of the big grossers and original Hindi films, are seen as organic BLOCKBUSTERS and that is what the others have to try and achieve and be totally clean so no doubt can arise.

DHURANDHAR is on a superb run overseas as it shows super strong trend on the weekdays. The film has collected almost $6 million in the first five days and the week will close at around $7.75-8 million. These collections have all come without a Gulf release and if that was there, it would have become the biggest film in Overseas of 2025. There is Christmas and New Year to come. So, it is still a possibility that it becomes the biggest film in Overseas even without Gulf though a lot depends on the second Friday which can be higher than the first Friday.

Although its not the type to score with the traditional Gulf audience, there has been a lot of migration from South India and this audience with have made sure that Gulf put up a strong total as well. The film is excellent in US/Canada and Australia while United Kingdom is also very good considering the religious and political zone of the film.

The best comparison is FIGHTER which did around $8.25 million in the first week also without Gulf and here DHURANDHAR may fall a little short. However, the lifetime numbers of FIGHTER now look easy and it will go far ahead.

DHURANDHAR is set to create history in its second week as it heads for the highest second Friday of all time which should lead to the highest second week of all time as well. This includes beating all the original Hindi films and also PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE (Hindi) on the second Friday. The film is looking to be on its second Friday as compared to the Thursday and that Thursday itself is higher than any second Friday.

That's not all. The film will also have a chance to become the first film in history to have a second week of 200 crore nett. There are a few obstacles in front of this including the Saturday growth and Monday hold but the chance is there. The film is now all over national television due to its political content and has basically become THE KASHMIR FILES on steroids.

After the initial issues, the film is now on such a run that it should reach the 500 crore nett mark and could even become the highest grossing ORIGINAL Hindi film of all time. Such is the momentum at present. The record is presently held by STREE 2 at 575 crore nett and although that it looks far away at the moment, it has a chance in a matter of the next 7-10 days if this momentum holds.

The biggest film in Hindi of all time is PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE at a little over 700 crore nett which is probably hard to chase down due to DHURANDHAR struggling for an initial. But there is a second part of the film coming in a few months time to attempt to chase down that huge record.

DHURANDHAR set a record on its second Friday with the highest collections of 30 crore nett approx which smashed the previous record of PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE by a distance. Not only is the record there but these is a healthy 20% jump from the previous day which is rarity especially for a film doing business at these levels.

After the initial issues, the collections are now all organic and the film is on a run to challenge all the biggest original Hindi films and remains to be seen where it ends. The biggest is PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE but that maybe a step too far but you never know with Christmas holidays to come. The hype has gone to another level with whatever the political issues are in the film being discussed on national television which takes the film to a wider audience. DHURANDHAR recorded the highest second Friday of all time and that to by a margin as it collected around 30 crore nett. The previous record was held by PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE at around 24.50 crore nett. This means DHURANDHAR is not only the first film to hit 30 crore nett but also the first film to cross 25 crore nett on its second Friday.

The highest second Friday for an original Hindi film is CHHAAVA which picked up around 23 crore nett. So, DHURANDHAR is ahead by 7 crore nett and above that film which is a pretty crazy margin especially for a second Friday. This year has been pretty dull in terms of huge numbers but these figures of DHURANDHAR are showing where we are today with ticket prices at an all time high.

The momentum is such that the records will continue as it becomes the first film to record a 50 crore nett day in the second week. It could come on Saturday and if not, then Sunday is sure to do. All second week records will be smashed and even though AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH is there, it could also smash all third week records.

The advances of AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH are good but its mainly down South meaning in Hindi circuits it could be DHURANDHAR leading next week also.

The figures of DHURANDHAR have been updated and the film stands at around 276 crore nett after nine days and is on course for an easy 500 crore nett total. It maybe even becomes the first original film in Hindi to hit 600 crore nett. The film is smashing all records in the second week and its likely this trend will continue into the third week even with the release of AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH.

The collections are updated mainly due to what happened with the film initially with the buys and although it was known on Sunday that the film had worked and the figures need adjustment, you just wait for the dust to settle and when it all becomes crystal clear what has happened.

The film did have a huge feed but it was mainly on the first day and it was very blatant done as probably, the did in a hurry as they probably got very worried about that opening day. It looked like a SKY FORCE or BHOOL CHUK MAAF type of feeding was happening which was not the case as the film itself started to the do the job and the makers stayed out after the first day though at that time its hard to believe due to the crazy stuff on the first day.

The film started on a bad note but such is the scenario now that its looking more organic than most of the other big original Hindi grossers. GADAR 2 and ANIMAL are the clean ones and here with DHURANDHAR, it looks the adds are going to be 1% or maybe even less of the total collections which is nothing compared to the manufacturing of collections which goes on in various ways today.

The film has worked in a big way but the question within is always what is the merited collection and with DHURANDHAR it looks 99% of it will be merited and its pretty much organic. Obviously there are still these fake media benchmarks to reach for the film be it 600, 700 and even the funniest of them all an 800 crore one. So, there could be some manufacturing for these but that does not change the scenario much.

The second week is like a first week for the film and DHURANDHAR is going to be competition releases coming in its way in the next few weeks rather than the other way around.
