Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’s opening scene is very intriguing but the rest of the first half leaves a lot to be desired. Not a single joke lands well. Post-interval, the film gets better; the emotional scenes touch a chord while a few funny scenes succeed in raising laughs. The ending is unconventional yet progressive and sweet. Also, the film doesn’t bore even for a moment. On the flipside, the film gives a déjà vu of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in the first half and that of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Piku, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania etc, later on. Though the ending is worth watching, one can guess what’s going to happen from a mile away. Kartik Aaryan is let down by the writing but manages to put on an entertaining performance, as always. Ananya Panday looks lovely and proves that she’s getting better with each film. Neena Gupta is aptly cast, while Jackie Shroff contributes a lot to the film with his performance and character. Chandni Bhabhda (Jia) lends able support. Sapna Sand (Renu; neighbour) steals the show and raises maximum laughs. Tiku Talsania (Shastri Ji) is fine, but is hardly there. Gaurav Pandey (Luv) is wasted. Kabir Jai Bedi's (Vicky) entry is great and one hopes that he would create madness in the goings-on. But, he is then completely forgotten, making one wonder why he was even added in the first place. All in all, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is an average flick.
