DE DE PYAAR DE 2 made some gains on Tuesday with collections of 4.50 crore nett which is expected due to the discounted rates. The jump is around 20% which is par for the course. This now takes the total collections of the film to 41.75 crore nett in five days.

There will be a drop on Wednesday but if the film can hold at the Monday level which will not be easy but it can give the film a chance to compete with the new releases on Friday. The new releases are not expected to open well. So, the target for DE DE PYAAR DE 2 can be to be the top film this week.

Obviously if one the new film gets some sort of initial, then it will be tough but a 2.5-3 crore nett second Friday for DE DE PYAAR DE 2 should put it in the mix though that will be not be enough to make the film a success. The first week looks to be heading for around 48 crore nett which is a low collections though its beats the lifetime of SON OF SARDAAR 2. On the other hand, it will be just 3 days of RAID 2.

DE DE PYAAR DE 2 is a UK rebate film, much like he first part, which takes much of the risk out but its also one reason that that box office can stay as generally it means a UK setting or characters which relates less in the mass circuits especially post pandemic. Nevertheless, the returns are heavy from the rebate and so, these films will continue to be made.

DE DE PYAAR DE 2 collected 47.50 crore nett its first week which is a low collection. The holds were not great and also, the collections came down to 2.75 crore nett on Thursday. If the film can do 2.75 crore nett or even a little more today, then it would be decent but that is a lot to ask for especially with two new films released.

DE DE PYAAR DE, in 2019, had collected 55 crore nett in its first week. This film is around 8 crore nett short and that is a considerable gap. The film has not really worked and now its just about hanging around for a few weeks. The film had to get the collections in the first week due the flow of releases and needed to be 60 crore nett at least.

The film has fared batter in the NCR pocket with Delhi city, Gurgaon and Noida getting good collections but even here, there were falls post the weekend. The 100 crore nett mark has become the benchmark for the genre and its proving pretty much impossible getting there even with the level of ticket rates today.

DE DE PYAAR DE 2 dropped around 15% on day eight from the previous day which is decent in terms of the drop but collections remain low. There were two new releases and this makes this drop look even better. Nevertheless, the collections needed to be at a higher level.

The collections of the film were in the same range as the new releases but it should come out best on Saturday and Sunday as being a holdover film, it is likely to show the best growth and come out the top film this weekend. The performance remains 25-30% less than the film of the franchise and that is where the problem lies. The film had to get the collections in the first week due the flow of releases and needed to be 60 crore nett at least.

Its not that if had reached the business of the DE DE PYAAR DE (2019), it would be a big hit or something but a 90 crore nett plus total would have been very respectable for a genre and a successful film. Its going to be that same problem in the result that the content has not been totally rejected but the film just could not take an initial which could have made the total respectable.
