KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) did very well on Tuesday as it went back into double digits collecting around 10.75 crore nett which is around 30% up from the previous day. The film got solid benefit of the discounted Tuesday and now the collections stand at 89 crore nett which is a good collection for this film and more importantly, it is sustaining well.

If we take the first seven days, the film will be ahead of films like RAID 2 and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR and it will be the fifth best first week (7 Days) of the year after CHHAAVA, SAIYAARA, WAR 2 and HOUSEFULL 5. The second Friday should confirm the HIT status of the film and it is about Maharashtra holding as other main areas are on the lower side and you cant have Maharashtra showing drops and joining them.

The film continues its huge run down in the South with all markets doing better than Hindi areas especially Mysore/Karnataka. Basically, the film has found appreciation in Maharashtra, South and Odisha while others have not taken to the film as well. But the film has a landing cost of around 175 crore plus and the business across India is huge for that budget.
