KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) held up well in the second week collected a little over 50 crore nett dropping a little over 50% from the first week as Mumbai circuit continues to record superb collections. It is now within touching distance of 70 crore nett in the circuit. This makes it the third best performing circuit after its home market Mysore/Karnataka and Nizam/Andhra.

Mumbai is more than Tamil Nadu and Kerala but the real story for the film could have been if Delhi/UP went better than these circuits. Then, this film would be collecting at a different level as not only Delhi/UP would be higher but many other circuits would have also propelled the Hindi version total. Now the film has done well on the strength of Maharashtra and proved a HIT film with a good hold looking certain on the third Friday due to to no new competition. The other circuits have also held well in week two but its at lower levels.

The total collections of the film nearly 154 crore nett and by the end of the third weekend it should cross the likes of HOUSEFULL 5, SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR and RAID 2. The Diwali period will tell if its crosses the animation film MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA.
