KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) had a good second weekend with collections of 34.25 crore nett as Saturday saw huge growth but Sunday was flat. The pre Diwali period is there and that could be the reason that Sunday could not grow much. It was just not KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 but the story with all the Hindi releases.

The film continues to be excellent in Mumbai, CP Berar and Odisha while other circuits are doing decent business. The target for the film is to hit 50 crore nett for the second week which only CHHAAVA and SAIYAARA have managed this year. But both these films were way ahead at over 100 crore nett. The 50 crore nett mark will not be easy and the discounted Tuesday will have to really help.

The all India collections are over 400 crore nett and will be standing at around 420 crore nett thanks to extraordinary business in Mysore/Karnataka. The South circuits are also very good. The lower performance has come in core Hindi circuits. So, despite these huge numbers, the heavily populated states like Rajasthan, UP and Bihar have not really come on board.
