KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) had a strong hold on its second Friday as it collected a little more than the previous day. The film is now a bonafide HIT in Hindi though the film is not as big as its in the southern states. The film is best in Mysore/Karnataka and then Kerala followed by Tamil Nadu and the Nizam/Andhra with Hindi being weakest but it is still a HIT.

The film has scored very well in Maharashtra as Mumbai circuit could go over the 75 crore nett mark driven heavily by Maharashtra. Another Maharashtra dominated circuit like CP Berar can go to 12-13 crore nett which will be 50% more than RAID 2. The issue for the film is in North India as a big circuit like Delhi/UP is likely to fall short of 25 crore nett.

The business in Delhi NCR is not surprising but the low numbers in UP means the mass audiences in the North have not taken to it. The overall total for the film stands at almost 110 crore nett which recent release JOLLY LLB 3 crossed in nine days. The film can target the 175 crore nett though will need collections over Diwali to get there. The growth on Saturday should be excellent.
