KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) was sustained very well on Wednesday as it collected 7.50 crore nett which is around 10% down from the Monday and this has come after the discounted Tuesday. This is a solid trend and the film is now set for a good run until Diwali the very least and it could collect post Diwali as well.

The collection till date is 96.50 crore nett which is a good collection for the first seven days comfortably beating RAID, SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR and the recent, Jolly LLB 3. The first KANTARA in 2022 finished a little short of 80 crore nett and that has been beaten comfortably here with plenty more to come.

The film has also crossed the 300 crore nett mark on all versions as collections are around 310 crore nett after 7 days. Mysore/Karnataka collected apprx 100 crore nett including the Hindi version in seven days. Despite the circuit being dominated by the original Kannada version of the film, the Hindi version is also scoring very well in Mysore.

KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 (Hindi) had a good extended first of 103.50 crore nett and the film has held well over the weekdays to emerge a HIT film in Hindi. The expectations for the film to emerge more than HIT were based on how some of the other South films, which broke out in part one, did in the second part.

Those films had gone 5 or more time the first part while it may just be double but if we take that aside then this film getting over 150 crore nett is a positive as it does not look that mass juggernaut film. It has done well in Maharashtra for cultural appeal while in the most of the circuits, its behaved more like a film for the classes.

Mumbai circuit is outstanding as its almost 50 crore nett over the first eight days. Its no match for CHHAAVA but the first week numbers are very similar to SAIYAARA and it could actually have higher numbers in the final run in Mumbai circuit. Delhi/UP and East Punjab are the let downs but there is always a chance of that with a South film. The film is excellent in its South Indian languages in the South and those collections will be updated later.
