Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat asked to remove Ramayana references; gets A certificate from CBFC
Box Office India Trade Network

EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT showed a good hold on day two dropping under 15% as it collected 8 crore nett taking its two day collections to almost 17.50 crore nett. The film has held better than THAMMA on the second day probably because it has less shows in many key centres, especially in the North and Central belts, where the film will have solid audience.

Like THAMMA, this film also has issues in Mumbai circuit as it should be doing a better especially on Diwali but this is a small film and can get way with even the biggest circuit like Mumbai not being as good as it should be. If the film continues to rack up the numbers in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan, CI and Bihar, it will be more than enough for the film.

The film will see collections come down to lower levels but there will be the weekend to come and as long as the weekend shows a fair trend the film should emerge a HIT. The trend on day two is enough to ensure the film is a success at least. The second day saw very strong collections in UP and Bihar with many places pretty much similar to the first day. More screens in these pockets would have pushed the collections even higher.

The two day collections of EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT are as follows.
Wednesday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 17,35,00,000 apprx
