WAR 2 (Hindi) saw a heavy fall in business due to the new release PARAM SUNDARI. The film managed some collections in the second week but it is impossible for a rejected film to stay alive when another major release comes in todays business scenario. WAR 2 picked up 2.75 crore nett in its third weekend to take it to 175 crore nett plus.

The comparisons for the film are the likes of RAID 2 and HOUSEFULL 5 with the latter itself being an under performer though not as much as WAR 2. The film has gone past the numbers of these two films but its pretty certain that some of the circuits will finish less and it could be the mass circuits which come out with lower numbers despite WAR 2 being an action film.

The Hollywood type of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and JAMES BOND type of cinema is seeing diminishing returns as the Hindi speaking circuits are preferring something closer to home with the raw and rustic cinema. It may be diminishing returns but WAR 2 staying this low is pretty much unthinkable before release.
