A gripping crime story demands edge-of-the-seat twists, a solid cast, and an auteur to weave it all together. The upcoming yet-untitled romantic thriller seems to tick all those boxes. Set to stream on JioHotstar, the series marks the Hindi streaming debut of Bengali filmmaker and politician Raj Chakraborty, and stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Sumeet Vyas, Aaditi Pohankar, and Priyanshu Painyuli in key roles.

The series, shot across Kolkata and Darjeeling, has wrapped filming and is now in post-production.

“The series revolves around a relationship tested by betrayal and hidden motives, set against the shifting social and political undercurrents of Kolkata and the hills of Darjeeling. The team has shot several key sequences in Kolkata’s older neighbourhoods and colonial-era buildings,” informed a source associated with the production.

He added, “The post-production is currently underway in Mumbai, and the streamer is expected to announce the title and release date later this year.” After gaining popularity with films, including Proloy (2013), Parineeta (2019), Habji Gabji (2022), and Shontaan (2024), among others, this romantic thriller marks Chakraborty’s foray into the Hindi web space.
