Jolly LLB 3 overcomes advance booking hurdle; makes Rs 10 cr on day one
Box Office India Trade Network

JOLLY LLB 3 showed a good jump on Tuesday due to the discounted tickets on Tuesday as it collected around 6.50 crore nett. The jump is better than normal for the Tuesday but it does not make up for the disappointing Monday as collections are likely to go back down to the Monday levels or lower. The jump at the national chains was very good at around 35%.

The film has collected almost 63 crore nett so far and should end the week over 70 crore nett which is fair total though after a 50 crore nett weekend, it should have had a higher first week. SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR had a first week 86 crore nett while RAID 2 managed 88 crore nett. JOLLY LLB 3 is going to be well short of these numbers.

This does not mean the film is going to do badly but its just that it wont become the HIT film which it had potential to become especially after the good weekend. The film had good enough interest but it looks like the content has not quite worked with the public like it should despite the reports being positive from the exhibitors. The second weekend is still important as it still needs to sustain well enough to get over the 100 crore nett mark and the target should be to cross the business of JOLLY LLB 2.

The first week business of the film is likely to be lower than JOLLY LLB 2 which was 73 crore nett plus unless Wednesday and Thursday hold up very strongly.

The collections of JOLLY LLB 3 over the first five days are as follows.
Friday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 19,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 62,75,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
JOLLY LLB 3 collected 4.50 crore nett on Wednesday showing a big drop from the previous day which was expected and is now the norm since the discounted Tuesday started. The film could have been on some recovery mode if the collections were better than Monday but that would be a huge ask as that Tuesday is getting extra admits, affecting the rest of the weekdays.

The collections till date are 67 crore nett and the week is going to end at 71 crore nett which is a decent collections but this is coming after a good weekend and collections should have been higher. The 100 crore nett mark is still not certain with these dropping collections and the second weekend is crucial if it is to get there.

The collections of the film have also fallen in Delhi/UP and East Punjab where the film had a very good first weekend and it looked both circuits could give the best numbers for an Akshay Kumar release post the pandemic. However, its is probably the topic of the farmers issues which helped those initial numbers while the content has not really worked like it should.

The collections of JOLLY LLB 3 over the first six days are as follows.
Friday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 19,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 67,25,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
JOLLY LLB 3 ended the week with a fairly steady last day of the week as it collected 4 crore nett on Thursday to take its first week total to a little over 71 crore nett. This is a decent number but its come after a good weekend and these sort of films should really be coming into their own from Monday as are not weekend films.

It looks like that the sequel factor has worked here bring in some good collections initially but the content is not as strong as the last JOLLY LLB film. It may end up with similar number to JOLLY LLB 2 but that is because of ticket rates and footfalls will be far less. JOLLY LLB 2 was comfortably over 1 crore footfalls which is impossible for this film.

There is not much competition this week with only release being HOMEBOUND which looks filler release before KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 and SUNNY SANSKARI KI TULSI KUMARI and will not collect much leaving JOLLY LLB 3 to continue to dominate the box office. The film still has some work to do to hit the AVERAGE mark and it needs a good second weekend as there will not be much business in the third week.

It will be curtailed week as the new films come on Thursday. So, Saturday and Sunday are huge importantly for JOLLY LLB 3 if it is to get to 100 crore nett. Ideally it should hold the same collections as Thursday but that is no easy task.

The collections of JOLLY LLB 3 over the first week are as follows.
Friday - 12,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 19,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 19,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 6,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 71,25,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
JOLLY LLB 3 continued its average run on day eight picking up collections in the 3.50-3.65 crore nett which takes the film upto 75 crore nett in eight days. The drop is normal for day eight but with no major releases on Friday, there was a chance of no drop and even go higher. Sadly, the appreciation is not there for the film to able to do that.

The film is not really going anywhere but it is important that there is a big jump on Saturday if the film is to reach the 100 crore nett mark. The potential should be there to double up which should at least be more or less ensure a 100 crore nett finish at the very least. The film is going to beat the numbers of KESARI CHAPTER 2 but that film did not open while this film started well and was an actual franchise while KESARI was a franchise in name only. The appreciation of KESARI CHAPTER 2 was more than JOLLY LLB 3.

The collections of JOLLY LLB 3 till date are as follows.

Week One - 71,25,00,000 apprx
