The new release this week was HOMEBOUND which maybe got some media awareness as its going to Oscars or something. This factor had helped a film called NEWTON a few years back but those times were different when media and critical hype could help to an extent. Eventually collections came down pretty quick for this so called content film.

The collections of HOMEBOUND will be in 20-25 lakh range which is similar to last week's AJEY - THE UNTOLD STORY OF A YOGI. The talent in the film is probably not the known sort or good enough in terms of acting to get that gentry public out.  

There was another Japanese anime film CHAINSAW MAN - THE MOVIE: REZE ARC but this time there was no craze. The first day looks similar to the third Friday of DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA – THE MOVIE: INFINITY CASTLE which will probably be around 40 lakhs but that's still better than the new Hindi release HOMEBOUND.
