The animation film MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA continued its upward trend on Wednesday as the collections even went a little higher than Tuesday. The film was aided by the cheaper tickets rates on Tuesday but there was no such thing on Wednesday. The film collected 5.65 crore nett on Wednesday which is around 15 lakhs nett higher than the previous day.

This 15 lakh number is not much but it has to be seen in the context that Tuesday jumped 35% aided by discounted tickets and the film has managed to add from there as well. The film has brought out a crowd which will not be the regular film watching crowd and its impossible to judge how long this crowd will keep on coming.

It is confirmed that the film is going to have its best days on Saturday and Sunday and a huge second weekend. The film is holding on the last week of the day to collect around 32 crore nett for the week which is a crazy collection for the film. It will be interesting where this film stands among the new releases and SAIYAARA on Friday as the momentum still seems to be building.

The animation film MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA had a fantastic first week collecting a little over 32 crore nett despite starting with an opening day number of only 1.50 crore nett. The film has also scored in Nizam/Andhra with the Telugu version doing very well and has collected 10.50 crore nett in that circuit including collections from the Hindi version. The all India collections for the film are around around 43-43.50 crore nett.

The film has a budget of around 22-23 crore including release costs which is high for an animation film made in India but that has been practically covered with first weeks collections as the all India theatrical share will be 21-22 crore. The film is easily the highest Indian animation film beating the 22 crore nett number of CHAAR SAHIBZAADE (2014). Not only that, it will also become the highest grossing animation film ever released in India today as it beat the 46 crore nett of SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE (2023).

The top animation films before this film were all Hollywood films but 50 crore nett is yet to be breached and MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA will be the first to do so. The way its going, it will also should breach the 100 crore nett level at an all India level. Actually the way its going, it can do so in Hindi alone but that's a long way off and there is bound to be s drop at some point.

The film will be giving good competition to the new release SON OF SARDAAR 2 on Friday as Mumbai circuit looks sure to be ahead though it remains to be seen if the all India collections of the Hindi version can come out on top of all films released this week.
