SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR has crossed the 200 crore mark worldwide as it stands at 207 crore after 13 days and its looking a 250 crore finish for the film worldwide. There can be a China release later on due to the popularity of Aamir Khan there but that market is in the doldrums with business heavily down from pre pandemic times despite a huge local blockbuster. Also with nationalism today being the forefront in most countries, cinema will find it harder to travel as the public prefers gives preference to products from their own country.

The biggest letdown to the business of SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR are the numbers in US/Canada especially the US as the collections are just around $2.25 million till date which is low number for such a film. It may end at around $3 million but that will be underperformance for an Aamir Khan film aimed at gentry crowd and also its a film which has done pretty well in India.

The numbers in Gulf and Australia are better as far as overseas goes but basically a film like this depends heavily on the US.

SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR managed to collect well in the second week but like the first week, it again struggled towards the end of the week. The weekdays are not doing as well as they should probably due to a lack of mass support while it does better on weekends probably due to the family audience especially in some centres of North India.

The film picked up almost 45 crore nett in week two which takes the film to 132 crore nett. The figures are good but the film has not really held like it should have considering the trend of the film film over the first five days. At that time, it looked a like a film which had the potential to hit the 175 crore nett but that looks very hard now.

The lack of mass appeal in the film has told as eventually there is a limited audience and now it looks like it will end in the same range as HOUSEFULL 5 and RAID 2 although the numbers of the latter look hard unless the third Friday goes above the Thursday. Its likely to be the third or fourth highest grosser of the first six months. The film is a HIT but mainly thanks to a few centres which have done very well while many places saw a mediocre performance.
