I Know What You Did Last Summer takes the story forward from the first two films and follows the same template. The setting this time is quite intriguing and the film starts on a fine note. But soon, one realizes that the writing is not upto the mark and has loose ends. The film also gets very silly and the suspense, instead of shocking viewers, will leave them disappointed as it not just spoils this film but even the series. Madelyn Cline (Danica) is quite over the top. Chase Sui Wonders (Ava) has the maximum screen time and she performs ably. Tyriq Withers (Teddy), Jonah Hauer-King (Milo) and Sarah Pidgeon (Stevie) leave a mark. Jennifer Love Hewitt (Julie James) is superb while Freddie Prinze Jr (Ray) is let down by the writing. All in all, I Know What You Did Last Summer promised to be the Final Destination of this quarter, but it ends up being a disappointment.
