The box-office is in great shape at present with SAIYAARA continuing to rock the box office and now this animation film MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA looks set to be a HIT. SAIYAARA collected around 26.50 crore nett on its second Saturday which is pretty much similar to its last Saturday. This takes the film to well over 200 crore nett at 216.50 crore nett and its looking to target 300 crore by the end of this week.

The growth on Saturday was around 50% and the film will be looking at a 75 crore nett second weekend which is just around 5% less than the first weekend. The holds on the weekdays will not be as the first week as that was just extraordinary and the film was gaining pace and that is not the case this week. The film will be the top grosser of 2025 in most of the circuits setting targets for the bigger films to chase. Its unthinkable that SAIYAARA would be setting the targets in the likes of Rajasthan and Bihar for the big releases in the second half of the year.

MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA (Hindi) is set for a run as it shows huge growth on its second to collect around 3.25 crore nett which is more than double the first day number. The film will be the highest grossing animation film of all time by the end of its first weekend but there is a lot to more to come from this film. Despite coming out of nowhere, the film has that REACH and is doing well across the Hindi belt which ensures weekday holds and the film going on a good run for weeks.

Both the films are huge surprises. SAIYAARA surprises with the level of its success as it goes for a 400 crore nett plus finish while the fact that MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA has succeeded itself is a surprise as animation films have a bad record and struggle to collect. There is this belief in the industry that the audiences are not coming into theatres today. But these two films prove otherwise and these two are hardly big films or even close. Its about catering to the core audience with the right content and there will be no looking back.
