Avideo from the wrap party of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s upcoming film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat recently went viral after helium balloons at the event unexpectedly caught fire, turning the celebration serious.

Harshvardhan is grateful that no one was seriously injured, though he says that Sonam’s manager suffered a minor forehead burn.

“It was a happy moment, and the producers had organized a small celebration for everyone. We had been shooting back-to-back for five days, and everyone gathered to have time off. We didn’t realize that helium balloons and firecrackers could be such a disastrous combination. It was a big learning for us,” the 41-year-old says.

He adds, “We got saved by our guardian angels. If the balloons had caught fire while we were holding them, it could have led to serious injuries.”
