Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning Review: Distracting, If Not Outright Confusing

Box Office India Trade Network

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING has done very good business on its first day driven by South India with around 16.50 crore nett. It is by far the highest opening day for the franchise beating the near 12 crore nett collections of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE (2023) but it has come on a Saturday when the bigger multiplexes score.

A Friday release would have probably meant lesser collections though it still may have done better than the last film of the franchise though its hard to tell. The Sunday should be very good again but it with just a two day weekend, its depending hugely on reports as Monday will not work like the third day of the weekend. The target is to be the biggest film of the franchise but it will not be so easy with this two day weekend.
-----------------------------------------
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING collected 34 crore nett plus over its two day weekend which are good numbers but Sunday was pretty much flat. This is the norm for Hollywood but with a two day weekend, you would have expected better. The Sunday numbers are pretty much on the lines as MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE and there the Sunday came after four days as it was an extended five day weekend for the film.

Hence, the film does not compare well with the last film of the franchise and it looks like the it will struggle to reach the numbers of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE. The Hindi circuits were an issue on day one itself as they opened in the good to average range as compared to excellent collections in the South.

The collections of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING are as follows.
Thursday - 16,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 17,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 34,25,00,000 apprx
