From the very start, Thunderbolts gives one an indication that it's going to be hatke and better than the recent Marvel films. And that's what happens - the characters are quirky but likeable and the manner in which they come together keeps the interest going. The villain angle is superb and the pre-climax is nail-biting. The climax is impactful but this is where the film also slows down. For a few moments, one might wonder where the film is going. The shift in the tone of the film is also unsettling. Florence Pugh plays the lead part with panache and her character's struggle with depression is convincing. Julia Louis-Dreyfus delivers a fine performance without going over the top. Wyatt Russell is entertaining but Hannah John-Kamen doesn't have much scope. Lewis Pullman steals the show. David Harbour is adorable while Sebastian Stan, as expected, is dependable. Geraldine Viswanathan (Mel) is an actor to watch out for. All in all, Thunderbolts makes for a great watch with the final scene and post-credit sequence setting the stage for future Marvel films in an exciting manner.
