Logout, which has released today on Zee5, is the story of an influencer who loses his phone and how he gets blackmailed by a woman who claims to be his fan. The film begins with a bang. The lead character is depicted realistically and the real fun begins once he loses his device. The way he gets fooled by the mysterious caller and what happens thereafter is seen to be believed. The goings-on are very nail-biting. The computer scenes also look quite classy and kudos to the VFX and graphics team. Sadly, the makers make a big mistake of not answering certain important questions. They also try to raise an important issue in the climax but they end up messing the plot, as a result. Babil Khan is the only actor in 95% of the film and he is terrific. He single-handedly takes the film forward and this is a feat. Nimisha Nair (caller) has limited screen time and is quite good. Her voiceover is spot-on. Rasika Dugal (Pratyush’s sister), as always, is lovely; she has a cameo in this film. All in all, Logout is worth a watch for the tense moments, concept and Babil Khan’s performance.
My rating - *** out of 5!
