The Hindi dubbed version of Telugu film GAME CHANGER collected 7 crore nett apprx which is a reasonable number but it has external factors pushing the collections. Hence, it remains to be seen where it goes from here. Overall its a decent number for the opening day for a dubbed film but with the budget so high, the makers were probably aiming for a higher contribution from Hindi.
The films made in South India with this sort of cost need the Hindi versions to work as South alone wont be enough. The film has done better in Telugu and the all India collections of the film should be around 45-50 crore nett. But Telugu is driven by star power and is very front loaded. As far as the Hindi version goes, it depends on where the second day stands.
The film actually has decent numbers in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar but due to the external aid, its actually hard to tell where they really stand. Also if there was no external aid this would actually be seen as a good number as its a dubbed film and compares well with what films are doing in Hindi circuits today. Now its more about what the actual weekend will tell.
The other release of the day FATEH collected in the 1.75-2 crore nett range which was released on discounted rates and on top also had external aid which pushed the collections. On paper this near 2 crore nett number actually is pretty good for the film but the problem is that its pushed to get there and on face value its much less.
Here you have the double edged sword for day two as the discounted rates are not there. As a result, it needs heavy external aid to hold up the collections which would not be feasible but you can never tell in film business.
