EMERGENCY collected a low 8.75 crore nett over its first weekend. The film showed good growth on Saturday considering Friday was Cinema Lovers Day and Sunday also went up well. But the overall collections remain dull and although the film does not have a cast, it is pretty costly film. The collections are pretty much nothing in terms of the budget of the film.

These films need a Monday around the Friday total but here even if somehow it manages this its still a tough road ahead due to the flow of releases for the next few weeks. The best comparison is THE SABARMATI REPORT which did a week of 11 crore nett and went to 32 crore nett final which was decent enough for that film. But here, the costs are far higher which and if this repeats, it is still not really good enough. Also a repeat of that is tough in the first place.

AZAAD was a poor fare collecting just 4 crore nett in the first weekend. The film was based around a horse and these sort of films need an audience in the Hindi belts but here the treatment was such that this audience would be impossible to get. There is a guest role by Ajay Devgn but no action or dialogue for the guest role to have any impact and give the numbers much of a lift.

The trend is horrible especially compared to EMERGENCY. Ots pretty much locked the film is going to fade away in the next few days.

EMERGENCY dropped 50% on Monday from Friday as it collected 1 crore nett. The drop is probably less as Cinema Lovers Day seems to have added around 25 lakhs going by the trend of the film. This means the drop is actually probably more, around 40%, but that is still no where near good enough.

The film needed 1.75 - 2 crore nett on Monday to just remain in the race but it is well short of that. The collections of the film are 9.75 crore nett in four days and will stand at around 12 crore nett plus in the first week and it will be a struggle after that.

AZAAD saw the expected crash in business as it collected 40 laksh nett on Monday. The trend was very poor over the weekend and hence, this was on the cards. The film has 4.50 crore nett total in four days and it will be a week of 5.50 crore nett and thats it due to the release of SKY FORCE on Friday.
