Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently took to social media to share the news of her father Joseph Prabhu’s death on her Instagram Story. She captioned, “Until we meet again.” The cause of Joseph’s death (on November 29) is not known and he rarely made an appearance on Samantha’s socials. In one of her earlier interviews, the 37-year-old actor had revealed that her strained relationship with her father had caused her self-esteem to dip.

Responding to the news, actor Teja Sajja shared his condolences and wrote on X: “May you find peace in the memories you shared with your Father. My deepest sympathies to you and your family members dear @Samanthaprabhu2 garu (sic).”

In 2022, Joseph shared pictures from Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s wedding, a year after they had already split. In his caption, Joseph said, “Long long ago, there was a story. And it doesn’t exist anymore! So, let’s start a new story. And a new chapter!”
