Indians love their sports icons and thus sports biopics are loved by moviegoers. Currently, biopics on former cricketers Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh are in the pipeline. And, it seems Harbhajan Singh is the newest to join the bandwagon. The former Indian spinner recently admitted that a biopic on his life is in the works and he is excited to present his story to the world.

“Ek-do achchi kahaniyan hain joh main chahta hoon duniya ke saamne aayein, toh main woh jaldi announce karunga,” he told Instant Bollywood.

When asked if he has any actor in mind who’d be apt to bring his story to life on screen, Singh said: “Vicky Kaushal, No 1.”

Singh aka Bhajji is among the most successful spinners in the history of Indian cricket. He holds a record of taking 417 wickets in Test matches, 269 wickets in ODIs and 25 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals for India. He was also a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 Cricket World Cup-winning teams from India.
