From Varun Dhawan, A Special Note On Baby John Co-Star Salman Khan's 59th Birthday
Box Office India Trade Network

BABY JOHN continued its downwards trajectory as it collected 3.25 crore nett apprx on its third Friday. The film fell a further 20% from Thursday which had seen a huge drop. The film has collected a little over 18 crore nett over the first three days and it has nowhere to go from here.

The film is likely to get two more days where it can collect but when Friday is a little over 3 crore nett then by Monday there is going to be very limited collections. The Christmas period has not been kind to original Hindi films post pandemic with 83 (2021), CIRKUS (2022), DUNKI (2023) and now BABY JOHN (2024). DUNKI got an average number but for a film directed by Rajkumar Hirani featuring Shah Rukh Khan, it was well below the mark. The only exception is South film SALAAR which was good but pushed to the good mark by external factors.

The period is still fruitful as in the days of PK and DANGAL especially for films with the target audience of 83 and DUNKI as MUFASA: THE LION KING is showing to some extent but when the content is poor then the period also becomes poor.

The collections of BABY JOHN till date are as follows.
Wednesday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,15,00,000 apprx
Friday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 18,15,00,000 apprx
