BABY JOHN fell badly on day two by around 60-65% as it collected in the 4-4.25 crore nett range. The collections were always going to be low as day one was not good enough for a national holiday. The other films have fallen in the 40-50% range which should have been the case with BABY JOHN but reports are probably pushing this film down further.
The two day numbers of the film are 15 crore nett apprx and when collections fall to these levels on day two, there is not much the film can do from here except just meander along. Ideally the film had to be near double digits on day two but that would be only possible if the film cleared the 15 crore nett mark on day one.
Its is one of those films which has released on a major holiday but has not created an interest among the audience and there have been many of these post pandemic and probably more to come. The added issue here is that its a remake which is readily available in Hindi. That limits the audience further, especially in mass belts.
The film has the weeeknd to come but from this 4 crore level where do you go as it looks pretty impossible that the film can go back to the first day number on Sunday which is what should happen when you release on a holiday midweek.
The collections of BABY JOHN till date are as follows.
Wednesday - 10,75,00,000
Thursday - 4,15,00,000
TOTAL - 14,90,00,000 apprx
