VICKY VIDYA KA WOH WALA VIDEO has done well on day one as it collects around 5.50 crore nett on day one. The film should have actually gone towards 6 crore nett but Mumbai circuit has come in very low as its the last day of Navratri and Marathi films taking showcasing. The circuit has cost the film around 40-50 lakhs as it has only collected 1.25 crore nett apprx in Mumbai.

The numbers are far better in Delhi/UP which will end with a 1.50 crore nett plus total and basically even though the content is more for Delhi/UP, it should not be this far ahead. The film has also done well in East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI and these should push well as Dussehra is a big holiday in these parts.

The film was maybe expected to record higher numbers as the film is in the entertainment zone and Rajkummar Rao was in STREE 2. Hence, the expectations go up but STREE 2 is not star driven and is not the sort of film which pushes up stardom especially of male leads. The bottom line is a 5 crore nett plus opening for a Rajkummar Rao is very good as outside the STREE franchise, this would be the highest opening day for his films.

The film has chances to do well as the target audience has come in resulting in decent numbers and its doing well in various circuits. Also, the Mumbai/Gujarat area will make up the ground lost on day one. The film probably has better chances in Gujarat than Maharashtra due to genre but its a conservative state and that 'Woh Wala' theme of the film may come as a hindrance in the circuit.

VICKY VIDYA KA WOH WALA VIDEO has shown growth of 25% only which is very surprising as this film was doing decent business in the strong Dussehra areas like North and Central India but it has failed to go forward much on the holiday. The collections of JIGRA have actually got closer on Saturday.

This film has a two day number of 12.25 crore nett and is doing a little better than JIGRA but the Saturday trajectory is not good. The hope here is that those Hindi circuits can push on Sunday though normally they would not after a holiday. If they do, it would probably mean there was no Saturday advantage due to the holiday. Again, a jump here on Sunday would be surprising.
