YUDHRA and KAHAN SHURU KAHAN KHATAM both managed decent first day numbers going by the real value of the films. YUDHRA collected well as it grossed 4.25 crore nett which is a little more than CRAKK released earlier this year which also benefited from lower ticket rates. The National Cinema Day is such that the major chain ratio was also same for both films at 50% though YUDHRA is a more urban film.

The other release KAHAN SHURU KAHAN KHATAM also managed decent collections of around 1 crore nett which again would be impossible without the offer. The film is stated to be a romcom with little awareness but collections came due to the low rates.  The film is will suffer on the second day as collections come down heavily.

There was a Marathi release NAVRA MAZA NAVSACHA 2 which also benefited from National Cinema Day but this film is holding on superbly well on day two and is affecting the Hindi films be it STREE 2 or the new releases in the Thane and Pune areas.

The new release YUDHRA saw a drop in collections to 1.75 crore nett which was also always likely. It was the same with CRAKK in February as that film got benefit of lower ticket prices and then came down. The total collections  of YUDHRA are around 6 crore nett and its trending around 10% better than CRAKK over the first two days. 

The other new release KAHAN SHURU KAHAN KHATAM also dropped heavily as collections went to around 45-50 lakhs nett after a first day of 1 crore nett which gives it 1.50 crore nett after two days. Simply put these collections are just too low for a Saturday.

The Marathi film  NAVRA MAZA NAVSACHA 2 is the winner of the weekend as this film suffered due to rates which meant it could not build much capacity at the multiplexes and with higher rates on Saturday, that capacity went up which enabled the film to collect much better. The first day collected around 2 crore nett and there should be a jump in the range of 20-30%.

YUDHRA fared poorly in its first weekend with collections of 7.50 crore nett and that is with 4.25 crore nett coming on the first day alone. Its a case of an urban action when the this audience don't really care for the genre much unless its a big budget or star star studded. Action has to appeal to the audience in the circuits and this could not do that.

KAHAN SHURU KAHAN KHATAM was also dull at 1.85 crore nett as day one collected 1 crore nett and then second day was 40 lakh nett and Sunday as 45 lakhs nett. The first day was respectable due to National Cinema Day.

The holdover THE BUCKINGHAM MURDERS collected over 1.75 crore nett to take its total to 9.25 crore nett plus. The film managed to jump a little post Friday as limited capacity due to National Cinema Day with minimal shows and also a very high end clientele where pricing probably changes little.
