Aparshakti Khurana On Credit War Over Stree 2 Success: "This PR Game Is Slightly Unpleasant"
Box Office India Trade Network

STREE 2 had a simply phenomenal sixth week as it collected 17.50 crore nett plus which is a new record by margin as it beat 11.50 crore nett of URI. The film had the advantage of National Cinema Day but collections held up very well later on, especially if we compare with JAWAN which also had similar offer on its sixth Friday and also managed the same collection.

Despite the National Cinema Day, JAWAN's sixth week stayed under 10 crore nett while here it is over 17 crore nett. The overall total of the film is around 570 crore nett and the film should easily go past 575 crore nett and maybe even to 580 crore nett.

There is a reduction of shows this week as DEVARA - PART 1 (dubbed) is a wide release but once STREE 2 settles over the weekend, it could have another good run till the new releases on Dussehra. The 600 crore nett mark is out of range unless the Dussehra films don't hold which will mean STREE 2 will be back until Diwali. Although its a long shot, you never know.

There's doubt that the film is the biggest blockbuster of the post pandemic era alongside GADAR 2. These two films stand tall in terms of their footfalls and budgets, STREE 2 is 125 crore and GADAR 2 is 75 crore, against the big budgets of the other 500 crore films. STREE 2 has had the easier run with little competition but then on the other hand, it is bigger than GADAR 2 in overseas.

The collections of STREE 2 till date are as follows.
Week One - 2,93,21,00,000
