<i>Stree 2</i> Box Office Collection Day 10: Next Stop For Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Film - Rs 350 Crore

STREE 2 recorded a phenomenal second week as it hit the 140 crore nett mark making it the second highest second week of all time. The only film to collect more is BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and that film is the best film of this era hands down. For STREE 2 to be challenging the BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION numbers after a huge extended holiday filled eight day week is just unthinkable.

The holds of the film are simply remarkable and this film will not be stopping for some time. The film was going to come down to lower numbers after the holiday period but to be standing at 8 crore nett plus at the end of week two is extraordinary. There is no film this week and that pretty much makes it certain the collections will be going up.

The film is doing remarkable numbers in all over except South and those strong holding areas of Gujarat, North and Central are on board in a huge way which was not the case for some of the 500 crore nett films of last year. As in they were not on board at the levels of STREE 2. 

The 500 crore nett mark is now just a simple task for the film and with huge jumps expected again on the weekend, it would be no surprise if it comes by the end of week three or at least be thereabouts. The total for the film so far is 434 crore nett.

STREE 2 had the the second highest second week of all time behind BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and beat the likes of GADAR 2 and ANIMAL. There were just two films with 100 crore totals in week two pre pandemic but now its seven and the 150 crore nett barrier in week two is not far.

The BAAHUBALI 2 number still stands tall but STREE 2 came very close and the main difference is Mumbai circuit while in most other circuits, STREE 2 was actually higher. The film is easily ahead of ANIMAL in all the Hindi circuits except East Punjab while against GADAR 2, it will be South and West Bengal where it is way ahead.

The fact that STREE 2 is ahead of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION in North and some central markets means it has a chance to challenge the latter's record in week 3. In the third weekend, it will emerge ahead as there is a change in business with Saturday and Sunday today giving a far higher ratio business when compared to rest of the week and this ratio was not this high at the time of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION.
