MR & MRS MAHI had a good Sunday as it collected in the 5.50-5.75 crore nett range. It had a solid 20-25% jump which is a good on a Sunday for the film of this type catering mainly for the urban audiences. But it has to be noted that this year, Sunday has generally seen strong growth for all films.

The film has picked up almost 17 crore nett for the first weekend which is a decent number and even if we take the fair value numbers of around 14.50 crore nett that is also fair. But its always about what happens post the weekend for theses type of films as be it 14 crore or 17 crore nett, its just a platform where you have to go on from.

SRIKANTH was only around 11 crore nett for the first weekend and MR & MRS MAHI has a considerable lead on that film over the first three days. The real test is what happens from here on. Due to Cinema Lovers Day on day one, the film has decent numbers in all circuits but it will be the metros driving in the long run.
