Reports of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding have been the talk of the town since Sunday. The actors have been dating for over two years and reportedly plan to get married on June 23 with two-day festivities.

While they are yet to announce the wedding, family members have started addressing the news. Her father, actor-MP Shatrughan Sinha told Zoom: “I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven’t spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn’t told me anything about it.”

The 77-year-old added, “Main bhi utna hi jaanta hun jitna maine media maine padha hai. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings. We wish her happiness and trust her judgement. She would never make an extra-constitutional or illegal decision. As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions.”

Even Sonakshi’s brother, Luv, had this to say in the matter, “I won’t be commenting. It’s better if you reach out to Sonakshi or the other person directly involved. All I can say is, I have nothing to say on this matter.”
