TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA has showed good growth on day two as it collected around 9.50 crore nett and jumped around 40% to take its two day total to 16.25 crore nett. There was a little less growth in some of the centres which outperformed on day one but generally it was a good result for the film.

This sets up for the film a comfortable double digit number on Sunday which was a must for the film after the opening day. As the film has an urban bias, it will be no surprise if growth is a little curtailed for the film on Sunday.

The film remains best in Mysore which has collected around 1.15 crore nett in two days followed by Delhi/UP and Mumbai though there is less support in the UP and Gujarat side in these two circuits. The film is going to be dependent on the Monday number and it must be good enough to give the film a run. There is Valentines Day on Wednesday which should ensure a 40 crore nett first week total for the film though the idea is to be comfortably above the 40 crore nett mark in week one and then see what the second Friday brings for the film.

TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA got a decent first weekend at around 26.50 crore nett with good growth on Saturday but a limited jump on Sunday which was always likely due to less contribution from the mass circuits.

The weekend business gives the film a chance and it all depends what it does over the next 10-12 days. The Monday number is crucial for its long term prospects but there is a buy one get one offer out there from today which will help the collections along until it is there. If the film holds better due to the offer, then it will still be about whether it can stand alone post the offer.

The film will get a jump on Wednesday due to Valentines Day which will ensure a healthy first week number but its more about the trend and its about being at a decent number post the offer if it is to run well for a few weeks. TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA showed a fair hold on Monday but it was coming with a buy one get one scheme and with that, the collections should have probably held a little better. Its unknown how much exactly the scheme helped the film and its about where the film is landing without the aid of the offer.

The Monday collections are 3.50 crore nett which takes the film to 30 crore nett over the first four days and there is Valentines Day to come which will give the film a boost. There are are some decent holds in a few of the smaller circuits which are just 40% down which is much the lower than the national average. But it can be that the offer helps more where the ticket prices are lower.

The first week is heading for a decent total which will be mainly due to Valentines Day but the fate of the film will only be clear when the outside support is not there and where it lands then. If this number had come without the offer, it would have been a healthy trend but with the offer, the film may have had to go towards the 4 crore nett mark or higher. The film is steady but due to the offer, the film has collections which are inflated from its actual level. How much they are inflated is hard to tell at present. The collections of the film stand at 33.50 crore nett apprx and there should be a jump in collections on Valentines Day (Wednesday) which should take the film to over 40 crore nett in the first week. 

TERI BAATON MEIN AISA ULJHA JIYA is one of those films which has its economics in place and is a good earner due to the budget being controlled and good returns from Digital/satellite and music which are likely to be around 65-70 crore. As far as the box office is concerned, it could turn out be an average fare and a lot depends on the second week but even if it gets there, then it will be seen that the offer took it there unless the holds are strong post the offer.

The film is likely to end the first seven days with collections with 42.5-43 crore nett and then its all about where the film can go from here. So far, the film has shown a good trend post the weekend but collections are elevated by the buy one get one free offer and that is what leaves a question mark over where the film actually stands.

The offer is standing on Thursday and Friday as well. So, its just a wait watch situation as to where the film stands without the offer. You would hope that the film has some merits for these holds and its not just the offer as if its the offer, then its going to send a bad example and will open the flood gates for others to go the same way which will not be good for the box office.

The weekday collections of the film have been boosted by the buy one get one offer but they have also held well from Monday - Thursday as the drop is only 10-12% and that too with a big day of Valentines Day in the middle.

The first week collections of the film are lower than the likes of JUGJUGG JEEYO and ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAAANI though the latter was a far bigger film. The film has put up good numbers in Mysore of 2.75 crore nett plus which is better than the seven day numbers of JUGJUGG JEEYO and SATYAPREM KI KATHA.
