FIGHTER saw a good hold on its second Friday as the film did not drop from the Thursday collections. The film is now actually trending well with this second Friday collection especially as if we consider where the film landed on Monday. The film collected a little over 7 crore nett on Monday and it has done 5.50 crore nett on Friday which is only 25% down.

The fall on Monday always looked excessive as the holdover movies had also fallen a lot for some reason which they should not have and because of that, there was always a chance that the film could hold out better than the Monday number suggested which has happened.

Also, the mass areas are slowly going out of the equation and the film is now getting a higher ratio of business where it is doing better. The national chains will probably be around 65% of the films collections today (Saturday) which is the sort of ratio of business that the urban films do. It is more than a film like DUNKI had in its second weekend.

The film now has collections of 145 crore nett and if it consolidates on Saturday, it should comfortably do 30 crore nett plus week. If there is huge Saturday growth, the film will have chances of respectable lifetime numbers despite rejection from the mass audiences.

FIGHTER did well on its second Saturday as it picked up 10 crore nett collections to take its total to 155 crore nett. It is probably too late in the day for the film but it was huge growth on the second Saturday and the film getting a double digit number again post its huge Monday drop was pretty much unthinkable. However, Sunday will probably be limited growth.

The film seems to be trending like an Hollywood film as it shows strength on the weekend especially the Saturday. This trend will probably remain for the film till its run. The second weekend numbers say the film has found some audience liking but such a huge film and being liked by a 12TH FAIL type of audience will not get you far. Actually this is the wrong way to put it as its found an audience in the same CENTRES as 12TH FAIL but this will probably be a different audience in terms of demographics.

The failure of the film across Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar, Gujarat etc means the patriotic side of the film has not worked at all and this seals the fate of the film. Thee other side that there is something that the urban audience in bigger multiplexes is coming for but that will not be enough for the film.
