MAIN ATAL HOON collected 1.15-1.25 crore nett on its first day which is not too bad for a film with no face value but the collections are driven heavily by the bigger multiplexes a bit like MERRY CHRISTMAS last week but with lower collections. The film is a biopic on a former Prime Minister so that may have got a limited audience out who would be interested in the story.

MERRY CHRISTMAS fell on its eighth day with collections of 55 lakhs nett which takes the film to 13 crore nett. This means the film may just get to around 5 crore nett in week two on a best case scenario with a more likely scenario being a 4 crore nett week.

HANUMAN (Hindi) is a HIT as it collects 2 crore nett on its second Friday which is similar to the the first Friday and the film looks to be heading for a 50 crore nett plus lifetime number though a lot depends on how FIGHTER fares at the box office. The collections on the second Friday were better that the first Friday at many of the bigger multiplexes.

The film has a 24 crore nett total so far after eight days and it will be another strong trending weekend and a public holiday on Monday for the inauguration of Ram Mandir though it remains to be seen how this holiday plays out.
