DUNKI collected 9.50 crore nett on its first Tuesday which is a drop of a little over 50% from Friday but the film is down from its first day. The total collections of the film are at around 133 crore nett and the extended first week is looking to go to around 155 crore depending on the drops over the next few days.

The film has under performed for a Shah Rukh Khan starrer but the film is in New Years period and it will continue to put up some decent numbers till New Years day especially over the weekend when business in the multiplexes jump.

The film basically illustrates that the biggest stars that want numbers cant really go outside the action genre today and this is for every single star as pick up films miss opening the numbers and post pandemic, the question is can films actually pick up from these 20-30 cr levels. DUNKI was the test and it has failed on that probably due to content and its unlikely that there will be a film of this level in this genre for sometime.
