Animal Review: Ranbir Kapoor Delivers Powerful Performance In Off-Putting And Tiresome Film
Box Office India Trade Network

ANIMAL had another extraordinary day of 56 crore nett on day two which takes the two day collections to 108.50 crore nett in Hindi. The growth was very good in the multiplexes but as the mass areas had opened to big numbers on day one, they were not going to go up on Saturday. However, it should be different on Sunday as these areas usually go above the levels on Friday.

Still, mass pockets like Rajasthan, CI, Gujarat and Maharashtra have managed to show an upward trend on Saturday while East Punjab recorded phenomenal numbers on Saturday as it was the case with NCR. There was a drop in Nizam/Andhra but overall, both Nizam/Andhra and Mysore are outstanding in Hindi with numbers similar to JAWAN.

The two day collection of the film in Hindi is 108.50 crore nett and it will be a 170 crore nett weekend. It has an outside chance to maybe even have the highest first weekend of all time. The film is very lengthy which has restricted capacity for the film and at many places occupancy has been strong from day one which leaves it little space to grow. This should ensure the film holds up strongly post the weekend and no doubt the film is another huge hit; time will prove how huge.

The two numbers of ANIMAL in Hindi are as follows.
Friday - 52,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 56,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,08,50,00,000 apprx

The film also has a dubbed version in Telugu which is doing very well as it collected 9.25 crore nett on day one and 6.50 crore nett apprx on day two giving it a two day total of 15.75 crore nett in two days. There are not many films outside the big local Telugu stars which collect 9 crore nett plus in Nizam/Andhra.

The other dubbed versions have limited numbers with total dubbed collections being 10 crore nett on Friday and 7.25 crore nett on Saturday for a 17.25 crore nett total. The two day numbers of ANIMAL in all formats are 62.50 crore nett on day one and 63.25 crore nett on day two for a total of 125.75 crore nett.
