KHICHDI 2 did a decent first day number of 1 crore nett as the film did very good business in Gujarat which was the case for the previous KHICHDI film in 2010. The first had opened at around 60 lakhs nett and went on to do 6 crore nett and hence, its comfortably better for KHICHDI 2.

The film is mainly a Gujarat/Maharashtra franchise as Mumbai circuit is 65-70% of the all India business. This was the case with KHICHDI in 2010 and now KHICHDI 2 also has same ratios. The 10 crore nett total for the film would be a decent result but it may grow less on Saturday as Gujarat comes out of holidays and then the match will affect on Sunday.

12TH FAIL continues to do well as it collects another 1 crore nett on its third Friday. The film stands at 35 crore nett now and will cross the 40 crore nett mark by the end of the week. In its lifetime, it should cross 45 crore nett. The film is the surprise HIT of 2023.
