I learnt to not take success or failure seriously

Not many know that Sharvari was an assistant director (AD) before she faced the camera. As an actor, she began her career with filmmaker Kabir Khan’s web show The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye and then marked her film debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021).

She credits her journey in the industry for helping her learn to take success and failure in her stride. Speaking about her biggest takeaways while experiencing the dynamic nature of the business, the actor says, “I’ve learnt that you should take everything with a pinch of salt, be it success or failure. Given the way our industry works, I don’t take both of them seriously. I learnt a lot while I was an assistant director. Back then, I didn’t get enough acting jobs. That taught me a lot, and I am now trying to use those lessons in my acting career now.”

Looking forward to her next film, Maharaja with actor Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, Sharvari has assisted filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Luv Ranjan in the past.

On the acting front, speculations are rife that the 27-year-old, who will be seen in Veda opposite actor John Abraham, is also part of the Alia Bhatt-starrer film under the Spy Universe franchise. She smiles and neither confirms, nor denies it: “I am happy that these speculations are being made, and I am being put with actors of that stature. There is a lot I would want to say about other projects. I am excited that the audience wants to see more of me on screen, and that matters the most.”
