While We Watched is a documentary that delves into how NDTV news editor Ravish Kumar managed to survive amid several obstacles. The 90-minute-long documentary is very gripping. But more than that, it’s heartbreaking, especially to see how Ravi faces trolls and becomes a victim of false information. Director Vinay Shukla peeps into the family life of Ravish and also gives viewers how the star journalist works when the camera is off. The cake has an important part in the documentary. In fact, the visuals of the cake would have never made you sad as it does here! The interest drops in the end but the finale is superb. There was a long-standing ovation, which speaks volumes. All in all, While We Watched is a must-watch documentary.
