Box Office India Trade Network

JAWAN has put up a colossal worldwide total around 115 crore in Hindi and there will be another 10 crore for regional. PATHAAN was around 103 on day one. These are the only two films to above 100 crore and both are Shah Rukh Khan films.

The overseas opening of the film was an insane $4.5 million with a Thursday release and it would have been higher with a Friday release. The collections are very similar to the first day of PATHAAN with the standout on day one being Gulf.

The approx collections of PATHAAN in overseas markets are as follows.
UK - £275,000 ($340,000)
US / Canda - $1,500,000
Gulf - $1,750,000
Aus - A$400,000 ($250,000)

The worldwide numbers of the film in HINDI are as follows.
India - 78.50 Crore (65 crore neett)
Overseas - 37.25 crore ($4.50 million)
TOTAL - 115.75 crore

There is a further 10 crore apprx worldwide from regional versions which gives an all format total of around 126 crore worldwide.
-------------------------------
JAWAN recorded unprecedented numbers down South as it racked up 23 crore nett on the first day. This was with almost 10 crore nett coming in languages which 43% of the business. The Hindi version collected around 13 crore nett which is also a record.

The number for the Hindi version is actually not that far ahead of PATHAAN as that film had also got 12.25 crore nett in Hindi with an overall total of 14.25 crore nett. The reason for this is the Telugu version of the film took a lot of business out of the Hindi version in Nizam/Andhra which led to far lower collections for Hindi as compared to PATHAAN.

The bigger records are in Mysore and Kerala as both circuits smash records by a distance and generally both are in Hindi. There are some decent collections in Tamil in Kerala but the 2.20 crore nett number in Hindi is phenomenal. The 2 crore nett mark is breached for the first time but you hardly look at this circuit as outside Shah Rukh Khan, it hardly collects. The lifetime number of 1 crore nett is a huge ask for most films and even a historical BLOCKBUSTER like GADAR 2 did only 50 lakhs. Mysore hit 5 crore nett for the first time for a HINDI film.

The collections from South for JAWAN on day one are as follows. The regional version is in brackets.
Nizam / Andhra - 9,25,00,000 (5,00,00,000)
Mysore - 5,15,00,000 (5,00,000)
Tamil Nadu - 6,10,00,000 (4,50,00,000)
Kerala - 2,60,00,000 (40,00,000)
TOTAL - 23,10,00,000 (9,95,00,000)
