DREAM GIRL 2 did good business in week two with collections of almost 28 crore nett which has taken the film to around 91 crore nett and the film is a solid HIT. It is the fourth HIT film in a month after ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI, OMG 2 and the colossus GADAR 2.

The release of JAWAN saw a major drop in its business but it still managed around the 1 crore nett mark despite being on limited shows. It remains to be seen if the film can hit the 100 crore nett mark which should happen as its an open field now post the release of JAWAN.

The film is a HIT but as a franchise, there may not be much scope going forward as business will eventually be 25% less than its predecessor. Although that has a lot to with the time being different and audience profile being different but less is less. Also when a hero becomes the heroine then you have limited the reach anyway. The target now for the film is to get to that 100 crore nett mark.
