DREAM GIRL 2 is looking set to emerge a HIT as it holds very well on its second Friday with collections in the 4.50 crore nett range. This takes the collections of the film to 68 crore nett in eight days and the drop on day eight is only 55%.

Normally this hold would be good enough for the film to called a HIT already but there is some leftover from the holiday period and there is a big cricket catch match on Saturday. It remains to be seen how this second Friday number is consolidated over the weekend and more importantly post the weekend. The final hurdle is the business post Monday as that will indicate what the film can do post JAWAN.

The film is a success; its the sixth one in the last few months and joins ZARA HATKE ZARA BACHKE, SATYAPREM KI KATHA, ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI, GADAR 2 and OMG 2 in the success list. From seeing the worst eighteen months ever, the industry has gone to seeing its best period since 1997 and there is JAWAN to come.
