OMG 2 has recorded good collections on the first day with collections around 9-9.25 crore nett. The film has Akshay Kumar in a guest role and it has come up against a tornado like GADAR 2. Hence, these are solid numbers for the opening day.

The collections are also ORGANIC which is also the case with GADAR 2. The industry is going through a down period and various things are happening which is known within the industry so today makers become adamant for the word ORGANIC to be used when they or the team have not done anything to help the box office move. Hopefully this time will pass and it will be all ORGANIC or as much as it is before and nothing much is noticeable. The word ORGANIC has today become a huge word in the industry relative to the box office.

OMG 2 is seeing good appreciation with multiplex crowd in bigger centres and even the mass centres collections are not bad considering GADAR 2 is there. Circuits like Rajasthan and CI have scored over films like ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHAANI and SATYAPREM KI KATHA which were solo releases and actually had better casts as Akshay Kumar is just a guest in this film. The franchise value has been a huge help and that recall value is really aiding the collections of the film.

There will be comparisons with GADAR 2 but this film should show solid trending over the weekend and there is a holiday in weekdays too. There is a good chance that it may well emerge a success over time as the film has actually kicked higher than it should have on day one.  The good times seem back with GADAR 2 and OMG 2.
