GADAR 2 has simply hit it out of the park on day one with collections of 39 crore nett and it has also beaten PATHAAN in many circuits. The collections of GADAR 2 are better than PATHAAN in most of the Hindi mass circuits and though it did not reach the KGF - CHAPTER 2 numbers in these markets, if we take the B and C centre single screen numbers from Bihar, Rajasthan, UP, CI and Rajasthan they are similar to KGF and even ahead of the Yash-starrer at places.

The film has actually set records in many centres though the overall record number does not show that as the performance is far lower than PATHAAN in multiplexes. In South and West Bengal, it is because of the film but for a circuit like Delhi/UP, its because its not a solo release as business in NCR belt would have been much higher with a solo release. The NCR belt has seen crazy occupancy and basically needed more peak time shows as they would have gone full but that was not possible due to OMG 2 and holdover films. Yet, the film is still getting to around 10 crore nett in the circuit which is extraordinary.

The collections in South are comparatively lower but they are still higher than expected as both Bangalore and Hyderabad were not really expected to much for a film which is a mass film for the Hindi belts but still the numbers are very good. West Bengal could have done better and despite the big number in East Punjab, it could also have done better but Punjab political is a bit low with Haryana being outstanding.

The job is done for the film with this sort of initial and those theatres which have recorded record collections are likely to see a Saturday drop and go back up on Sunday. There is a huge ratio of collections coming from these centres. So, its unlikely to grow much but that hardly matters much as these cinemas will go full again on Sunday. The film was a HIT before a show commenced and its just about how big of a HIT the film becomes.
