DREAM GIRL 2 has held up well on Monday with a 50% drop from day one as it collects around the 5 crore nett mark. The film has fared well in Delhi/UP, Rajasthan and CI as all these markets show a drop of around 40% from the first day. The Delhi/UP circuit was almost 3 crore nett on Friday and will cross the 1.75 crore nett mark on Monday.

The downside is Gujarat/Saurashtra and if this behaved like Rajasthan and CI, which is the case normally, this film would have easily been a hit but now it still has some work to do. The Gujarat issue could be due to the phenomenal run of GADAR 2 and then there is a Gujarati film 3 EKKA doing very well also. But most likely, its because its a circuit, more than any other, that is dominated by family audiences. Ayushmann Khurrana films have that gay/lesbian/sex stuff and here he's also playing a female. S, the conservative audience are keeping away. Even a moderate Gujarat would be a big help to the cause but its just too low. This would be an issue in other states as well but the humour seems to be getting the audiences in there.

The total collections of the film are 44 crore nett and it should hold up well over the next few days due to Raksha Bandhan with the main holiday on Wednesday. The first week can still target near 60 crore nett or maybe even 60 crore plus nett due to the period which would give it a good chance to emerge a HIT if second week can show reasonable trend.
