From painting on walls and hoardings in Junagadh (Gujarat) to now travelling the world, life has changed for Shah Rukh Khan’s doppelgänger, Ibrahim Qadri. His reels are quite a thing on social media. The latest one, where he’s seen striking the actor’s signature pose at an airport during the security check has amassed over 56 million views.

He says, “It was only after Raees (2017) that I started taking my resemblance with SRK sir seriously. I worked on my physique and mannerisms. There’s a long way to go.”

Qadri has never met the actor and it’s not on his wish list either. “Mujhe lagta hai main jis din sir se mila, sab kuch khatam ho jayega,” he says, adding, “When you don’t have a Ferrari, you want it badly. But when you finally get it, it’s likely to be parked in the garage all the time while you roam around on a bike. Mujhe lagta hai craze aur josh khatam ho jaayega mera.”

He gets event invites from all around the world, but there’s something he misses about his previous life. “Ab mera crowd mein jaana mushkil ho gaya hai. Log mujhe SRK samajhte hain,” says Qadri.
