SATYAPREM KI KATHA had a fair extended first week of around 47.50 crore nett as it remained steady over the weekdays though saw a drop on the final day of the week. The film has not done great but its not bad either. The collections could have dropped out after the Monday drop but they remain at a decent level with the second weekend to come.

The film has done a little better in CI which is the case of most films of Kartik Aaryan but Mumbai circuit should have done much better as this film is more for that circuit. The business in Gujarat has been steady over the weekdays but numbers are towards the lower side though maybe second weekend will be better comparatively. The film may have affected by the Marathi film BAIPAN BHARI DEVA which is now running riot in the circuit but that film was not there on day one and SATYAPREM KI KATHA was not too good then.

The film needs another good hold today and should really collect a similar number to Thursday which can put in line for a decent second week though there is MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE on Wednesday which will hit business in week two. Overall its the type of film that the mass audience is keeping away from today. So, if the film can get around to that 70 crore nett mark, it will be a fair result for the film.

SATYAPREM KI KATHA held up well on its second Friday collecting around 2.50 crore nett which is not much lower than the day before. It was a must for the film to hold up at around this level and now the test will be midweek as to what happens when MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING - PART ONE releases. If the film can continue well post that, then the film will be an AVERAGE fare.

The film has chances to do business of 70 crore nett plus but it will all depend on the level of collections from midweek onward as that is when the competition arrives. This week the release was NEEYAT which was not really competition and is basically a token gesture release due to the demands of digital players for a theatrical release. The film has probably clocked up around the 70 lakh nett range.

SATYAPREM KI KATHA is on a pretty steady run post the opening weekend, It should basically have done better in the Maharashtra/Gujarat belt and that is the letdown for the film. East is poor but that was sort of expected but the zone and feel of the film should have enabled better collections in Mumbai circuit.
