Rumours about actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif walking out of Farhan Akhtar’s directorial project, Jee Le Zaraa, have been doing the rounds for a while. While there’s no official statement from the makers yet, a source clears the air and says, “Priyanka is no longer a part of the film. There’s no bad blood between her and the team, but she wasn’t able to commit dates to shoot this year due to her Hollywood commitments. She asked Farhan if the shoot can be pushed to next year.”

Apparently, Farhan was fine with it, but actor Alia Bhatt, who also stars in the film, had other commitments.”

Rumours about Kaif walking out of the project too left fans wondering if the film would get shelved. But an industry insider says, “Katrina is still on board. She has a close bond with Farhan and Zoya (Akhtar, director) after she did Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and there is no way that she’ll leave the project without a concrete reason.”

Calling the speculation about the film getting shelved “baseless and irrelevant”, the source adds, “The project will definitely be made as it’s very close to both Farhan and Zoya.” We reached out to the makers and received no response till the time of going to press.
